General Recommendations

Reconstituted Kitten-Gro should be fed at 38-39°C (body temperature). Use a thermometer.

Always boil water before reconstituting the Kitten-Gro. Allow cooling time.

Do not microwave, warm bottle in a hot water bath.

Clean all feeding utensils in hot soapy water and rinse thoroughly after each feeding.
Reconstituted Kitten-Gro may be refrigerated up to 24 hours. Discard any unused portion after 24 hours.

If kittens are crying excessively, they may not be getting enough to eat or they may be too cold.

Kittens need assistance to help urinate and defecate for the first 2 weeks of life after each feeding. You need to assist by using a warm moist cotton ball and massaging the kittens abdomen and anal area until they urinate and or defecate. You must be persistent, this is very important to the kittens well being.

Fresh, clean water should be available at all times, starting at 3 weeks of age.

Housing and Weaning

Kittens must be housed in a clean, warm, draft-free area.

Air temperature should be 29-32°C (85-90°F) for the first week and 27°C (80°F) for the next 3-4 weeks. Use a thermometer.

At 3 weeks, teach kitten to drink from a saucer.

The weaning process can begin at 4 weeks of age by introducing moistened solid food and can be completed by the end of the 5th week.
